Internal, External, or Both: A Short Guide

Internal, External, or Both: A Short Guide

Product listings throw around "internal," "external," and "dual" as if everyone already knows what they mean for their own body. Here's the plain version.

External stimulation

Focused on the clitoris and surrounding area, from the outside. Bullet vibrators, wearable stimulators, and many "massager" style products fall here. Often the most sensitive area for many people, so lower intensity settings matter more than people expect.

Internal stimulation

Vaginal or anal, focused on internal texture, pressure, and in some cases targeted G-spot stimulation via a curved shape. Girth and length matter less than curve and material firmness for most people.

Combined stimulation

Products designed to do both at once, most commonly the dual-arm "rabbit" style. The trade-off is usually a bit less precision in each individual function compared to a dedicated single-purpose product.

There's no hierarchy here

External-only isn't a starter category and combined isn't automatically an upgrade. It's about what your body actually responds to, which is worth discovering before worrying about which category sounds more impressive.
